from 7:00 pm to 10:pm at The Whistle Jacket in Eden N.C.

A special note of thanks goes to Doris, our President since 2001, who has worked tirelessly to make our shag club one of the best, if not the best, shag clubs in the area.  She knows what to do, how to do, where to do, and when to do everything that needs to be done for the club. 

When the shag club was making its comeback from almost becoming extinct Doris stepped up and took on the enormous job of helping to get the club back on its feet.  She has been our president for the past eight years and has done a remarkable job. Doris knows the rules for being a member of the ACSC and makes sure everything is done and done on time. She makes sure that we are represented at the ACSC meetings at the required times.

She makes every member feel that they are an important part of our club and includes them in all club activities.  She makes all newcomers to our club feel welcome.  Doris always has a smile and an encouraging word for everyone.  She approaches all situations with diplomacy.  Doris is absolutely one of the best ambassadors that our club has.

As well as working a full time job and working for her church, Doris finds the time to get the word out in the community about our shag club.  She finds ways to get the club involved in the community.
